True Learning

A Reflection of Desiderata: True Learning
By Jerahmeel N. Tayag Jr.
Grade 10- Rizal

In life we must know ourselves to be able to strive through the hardships and challenges. Beccause one must see his ways and clean the stains on his actions, to be able to know what he has to do to solve conflicts.

To be able to be firm as a human being, to be able to be happy, one must be with peace and quiet never rushing anything on anywhere. Concentrating , meditating to be the man that is joyous , problem free and stress proof.

One must also choose those who he will deal with and socialize with, for his actions and words would depend on that somebody that he is talking to

This poem reflects the light of wisdom and techinique in which the children could use as an important weapon to shield them from the war of life, and come out purely clean without any stain of remorse and hesitations. This speaks through a thousand years of living , of the things learned from hunderds of years of war and hours of joy and happines. This depends to us. Purely us.

The reason why I prayed today is because of this poem. I saw the teachings and I prayed that I could have a mindset like that. That my life would have a direction, a brighter one. This made me think of my actions; made me want to choose people that I would talk to; made me rethink with peace. To be able to be successful, these are the words of wisdom that all of the children must see. To harness the essence from plain words. That my friend, is true learning.

  2. Mr. Tayag clearly understood the poem Desiderata very well and he certainly took time to think of what he will write. The words he used are simple and can be easily understood, and his work surely captures the interest of the readers. In short, this is is a well-written work and for that he deserves some applause.
