Don't
DON'T
Florence C. Ares
Don't look for me
When I no longer there.
Don't call me either
When I can no longer answer your call.
Don't cry to me
When I can no longer wipe your tears
Don't give me flowers
When I can no longer smell them.
Don't tell me you're sorry
When I can no longer forgive you.
Don't sing me your songs
When I can no longer hear your voice.
Don't write me letters and poems
When I can no longer read them.
Don't say you love me
When I can no longer feel it.
These are the things elderly people with dementia are not able to do. Florence you are not there yet, far from it. But, this tells me something. Do everything you are able to do, while you can, like saying "I love you" , " I am sorry". Smell the flowers, climb mountains, or just read a book. !!!Thanks for sharing!!
